Why zero trading fees can still mean a different Bitcoin price
“0% fees” tells you about one line of the bill. The price you're quoted is a separate line — and it can carry a cost of its own.
Fee and price are two different things
When you buy Bitcoin, two things decide how much you get: the fee charged on the trade, and the price the trade happens at. A venue can set the fee to zero and still quote a price above the wider market, because the quote includes a margin. That is a normal, disclosed way to price a service — not a hidden charge — but it means the fee line alone can't tell you your total cost.
What one UAE venue says about its own pricing
Rain's published fee page for its UAE entity, Rain Trading Limited, describes no separate UAE trading fee and a margin built into its quoted price. The page does not state the size of that margin.
The same page says Rain doesn't charge deposit fees (you're credited what arrives in Rain's bank account, so any charge from your own bank is separate), makes no bank deduction on local AED withdrawals, and charges a variable fee on crypto sends to cover network costs.

What a margin does to your bitcoin
Illustrative arithmetic with a hypothetical 1% margin. This is not Rain's or any other venue's actual margin.
Say the reference price is AED 400,000.00 per BTC, so AED 1,000 would buy 0.00250000 BTC. A zero-fee quote with a 1% margin prices it at about AED 403,999.60 per BTC, and AED 1,000 buys 0.00247525 BTC.
No fee appears anywhere, yet you receive 0.00002475 BTC less. The cost is real; it's just inside the price instead of on a fee line.
How to see your real cost
Ignore the fee label and compare what you actually get. Divide the AED you pay by the bitcoin you receive — that effective price includes the fee, the margin and everything else.
